Ella Myrick, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been working in
glass art for over 28 years. Largely self taught, she started working in the
early 1980s with glass bead carving and cold work such as copper foil and
leaded stained glass. She learned kiln firing which has expanded her
technical repertoire to include bowls, platters, jewelry, unique sculptural wall
hangings and glass painting. Ella has done much commission work and
exhibited and sold her work in Albuquerque, Denver, Chicago and Florida.

Ella has taught classes in stained glass and served on the board of the New
Mexico Glass Artists Association. She has won awards and ribbons in
several artist shows in New Mexico, Illinois and Colorado. Recently Ella has
begun utilizing painting, beading, clay, metalworking and mixed media
techniques in her art, sometimes incorporating these disciplines with
glassworking techniques to create totally unique artistic expressions.

Ella expresses her interests in New Mexican culture and Mexican Folk art as well
as her love of animals through her artwork.
